Our personal care attendants have many responsibilities that fall under the umbrella of a "personal care attendant". These are some of their responsibilities:

• Transferring - from bed to chair, or bathroom/commode. 

• Input/Output - keeping track of logs for medicinal purposes

• Bathing - bed bath and shower bath

• Medication - reminding clients to self administer medications (sorry, we cannot administer medications)

• Mouth Care - we help assist with proper mouth washing

• Exercise - help assist with exercises if needed

• Mind - help to stimulate mind with current events, what day/month it is, what season we are in. Make the client aware of their surroundings, name and age

• Bed Changing - If client is bedridden, we will use proper bed making techniques while client is in bed.

Remember, we are always aware of confidentiality and respect. We make both client
and family aware of any changes. We wear gloves at all times. Plus we always wear
our uniforms which are always clean and neat!
